All pet cats in England must be microchipped by 10th June 2024 following new laws. This means that pet cats must be microchipped before they reach the age of 20 weeks, including indoor cats. As part of the new rules, you must keep your contact details up to date on a Defra-approved microchipping database. Failure to do so can incur fines of up to £500, so book an appointment and get your cat chipped if you haven’t already!

EllieI am so pleased I moved to this practice when it first opened. I never have a problem getting an appointment, on the day or pre-booked. All of the staff are absolutely superb. We had to have our gorgeous cat PTS a couple of months ago, but Chris tried absolutely everything possible before we made that decision. He even very kindly came out to our home on a Sunday to have her PTS, so we didn't have to distress her with a car journey. He was incredible; so sensitive and respectful. I cannot mention the vets, without mentioning the nursing staff and the amazing reception team. I think I cried at most of them, and they were all fantastic with us, and so comforting. I feel incredibly lucky to have Rackheath as my vets practice.
